Dr Hen Says & Colorectal Cancer Alliance Announce Joint Collaboration for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
13 March 2023 – Dr Hen Says and the Colorectal Cancer Alliance (Alliance) are proud to announce a joint social media collaboration to raise awareness and encourage screening during Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
Over 150,000 Americans are diagnosed with colon cancer each year. While many are aged 45 and older, the condition is becoming more prevalent in younger individuals. Education about colon cancer is crucial and plays a significant role in early detection and prevention.
“Colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the U.S., but it is preventable,” says Michael Sapienza, CEO of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. “The Alliance is determined to educate Americans about risk factors and screening options, and to navigate them through the screening process, to end this disease in our lifetime.”
This collaboration between the Alliance and Dr Hen Says will be published on various platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
“Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers,” says Dr Hen. “This is why it’s so important that we reach a broad public of all ages.”
The Alliance offers a free screening recommendation based on personal risk at quiz.getscreened.org. It also offers a digital patient and caregiver support platform at blueHQ.org.
